According to the current design code of the anchoring to concrete, the compressive strength of
concrete for Cast-in anchor has been limited up to 70MPa. However, we need to extend the scope
of the limitation as the use of high-strength concrete is increasing gradually. In this study, we
have evaluated the failure strength of the cast-in anchor with the tensile strength which is
installed on SUPER Concrete with 120MPa. Tension tests were conducted on group anchors in
SC120 with variables of anchor spacing. Test results show that diameter of the projected concrete
failure area was wider than that of anchors in normal concrete. The failure area is approximated
as projeting the failure surface outward 2.24??? from the centerline of the anchor.
